Our training officially started on January 17 with a 1 kilometer broken swim time trial. After deducting the 30 seconds rest in between every 100 meters, I finished it in about 34 minutes. Gosh! That was terribly slow!! My best time last year for a kilometer swim was 30 minutes! I guess too much chocolates during the holiday season created all that drag. My right leg seemed to be raising up too when I turn, oh well, coach said drills will correct this on next training day.
Yesterday, it was a run test! After a 10 minute warm up, we were made to run on our comfortable speed and then we had to increase the speed to .5 of a mile every minute until we felt that we have reached our maximum. After 7 miles per hour, I was seeing stars in front of me! Again, that was slow too 🙁
Tonight, there will be no test, thank God, it will be just yoga to help improve my core and balance. I recommend everyone to try yoga cause it takes away all the stress I’ve had for the day. It gives the inner mind peace and the relaxation after a busy day at home or work.
So, why not try a yoga session and discover how to integrate the mind, body and spirit to achieve a state of oneness with the universe?
